CASEing the Catty CTC #84 – Love & Sympathy

This week the CASEing the Catty Crew are CASEing projects fromthe Love & Sympathy section of the 2016-2017 Stampin’ Up! catalogue, pages 44 to 55.  For this challenge, I used the DSP and layout of the card on the right on page 50, and combined it with the stamped images from the box on the left of page 51.

The card on page 50 has a paper doily.  I switched out a doily for card stock, using the Swirly Scribbles thinlits to cut out a swirl from Crumb Cake card stock. I also used the metallic copper spotted washi tape from the Affectionately Yours washi tape set to create one of the elements in the card.

The flower and sentiment are stamped onto water colour paper. I used an aqua painter to colour in the flower and background

I have listed what I used below if you want to recreate the card.

Paper: Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, water colour, Serene Scenery DSP stack

Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Basic Black

Stamps: You’ve got this

Embellishments: Affectionately Yours washi tape, white perfect accents

Tools: Big shot, Swirly Scribbles thinlits, aqua painter

Happy stamping

  1. Cathy this is lovely. Your background piece has great effect and the watercoloring is beautiful. Thanks for joining us at CTC – love the swirls instead of the doily!

  2. Love the DSP background and that striking red flower. Gorgeous card. Thanks for joining in at CTC.

  3. Your water colouring is lovely, Cathy and the flower looks lovely on the weathered board paper.
