Season of the Wreath: July

I really wasn’t sure what theme to do for July.  July is the coldest month of year in Australia, at least in Canberra it is.  When you look on Pinterest, a lot of the winter themed wreaths have snow themes.  It rarely snows in Canberra. The elevation of Canberra is generally to low for snow. However on 13 July 2016, it was snowing when I left for work. To commemorate the rare occassion that it snowed in Canberra, this month’s theme is snow.

I used the snowflakes from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set, stamped with VersaMark on to Pool Party card stock.  The stamped images were heat embossed with white embossing powder. Once all the snowflakes were cut out it was time for sponging in Bermuda Bay and Dapper Denim.

I used a mixture of rhinestone embellishments, most of them now retired, to decorate the centre of each snowflake.  The bow was made from retired ribbon and silver cord.

Happy stamping
