CASEing the Catty CTC #94 – Candy Cane Lane

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty post.  For this challenge the CASEing the Catty crew are focusing on the Candy Cane Lane section of the new holiday catalogue, pages 4 to 7.

I decided to CASE  a couple of projects from page 4. The first project is the house card from this arrangement.

My card, while looks mostly the same, is a little different.  Instead of using washi tape along the bottom of the card, I have stamped gum drops.  I have also swapped out the sentiment and used one from the Oh, What Fun stamp set.  The catalogue sample seems to have glitter on the snow-capped roof line, I have used clear mica flakes.

I also cased the gift tags that are on page 4.

I changed things up a bit by matting the tags with Early Expresso card stock and using Whisper White baker’s twine. The stamps I have used are from the Oh, What Fun and Sweet Home stamp sets.

Happy stamping

  1. Great projects Cathy! It seems those tags just scream ‘be inspired by me!’ Thanks for joining in the September CTC challenge – can’t wait to see what inspires you next! Kelly x

    • The mica flakes are clear so show up better on backgrounds other than white. The don’t photograph well when they are glued to white. But look nice in person. Thanks for commenting.

  2. Both your projects are lovely, Cathy. The gumdrop border on your card looks great and really makes it pop. I love the extra layer on your tags, too. Thank you for joining us at CTC this month.

  3. Cathy you’ve one a fantastic job CASEING the catty! Your projects are gorgeous and the attention to detail totally fabulous. So glad you joined the fun of our challenge.
