Welcome to another post for colour challenge group on Facebook, Colour INKspiration.
The forth colour challenge for the Colour INKspiration Facebook Group is to use Delightful Dijon, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White and Crushed Curry in the project.
With Easter coming and the shops full of Easter chocolate, I decided to do another egg carton project.
First off, I coloured the egg carton with alcohol and drops of Crushed Curry in a sprintzer. I used Crushed Curry card stock on the top of the egg carton. To get the honeycomb ‘stamped’ effect I used a brayer to apply Delightful Dijon ink to the Hexagons dynamic texture embossing folder. Place the card stock inside the inked folder and close the folder. Apply some pressure with a clean brayer, (don’t feed it through the Big Shot), and you are left with a faint stamped image. I used the Botanical Builder Framelits to cut out the flowers from card stock in the three other colours for this challenge. The flower centres are the retired candy dots. Some burlap ribbon and a Lindt chocolate bee finish the exterior decoration.
The inside of the egg carton is decorated with another honeycomb panel, another flower and a bee, which was cut with the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits. Add a chenille chick and chocolate. Oua la.
