Welcome to another Colour INKspriation blog hop. You may have started here or you may have hopped over to my page from Nicole Wilson’s page.
The colours for this challenge are: Basic Black, Whisper White and a pop of colour of your choice. My pop of colour is Melon Mambo.
I’ve been seeing some pop-up swinger arm cards lately, so I though I would have a go at making one for this challenge. The colours in this challenge allowed me to look through my DSP (designer series paper) that I have #loveitchopit and I found a retired DSP called Pop of Pink. Perfect for this challenge. I also used the Botanical Butterfly DSP from the recent Sale-a-bration promotion period. Another perfect DSP for this challenge.
The frames on the front of the card and the sentiment panel were cut out using the Rectangle Stitched dies. The Roses are from the Climbing Roses stamp set. I coloured them in using the retired Melon Mambo blendabilities. I also used some retired epoxy shapes to embellish the card front.
For the inside of the card, I created the pop-up panel with more card stock and DSP cut out using the rectangle stitched dies. The cake stamp comes from the Amazing Life stamp set. The roses stamp is another stamp from the Climbing Roses stamp set. Again the cake and roses have been coloured with the Melon Mambo blendabilities.
Both the sentiments on the front and inside the card are from the Amazing Life stamp set and have been stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Used in this project:
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Botanical Butterfly DSP (Sale-a-bration), Pop of Pink Specialty DSP (retired)
Ink: Momento, VersaMark, Melon Mambo blendabilities
Stamps: Amazing Life, Climbing Roses
Die Cutting and Embossing Tools: Rectangle Stitched dies, Rose Trellis dies
Accessories: Clear and Glitter Epoxy shapes (retired), white embossing powder
Thanks for visiting my blog. Now it is time to hop over to see what Jan Clothier has made.
