Welcome to another Colour INKspriation blog hop. You may have started here or you may have hopped over to my page from Jan Clothier’s page.
The colours for this challenge are: Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Gold foil. You may add Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’ and ‘Bronze’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute.
I’m on a roll at the moment, loving the cards that I am making for the Colour INKspiration blog hops. This one is no different. I really liked how this card turned out. The background for this card was done on water colour paper and there are 6 different techniques that I used to create the background. I masked the edges of the watercolour paper with masking tape, then applied Seaside Spray ink with a sponge brayer. Next I applied ink by the direct to paper method by dragging the edge of the ink pad across the paper. I then splattered the background with water and allowed it to dry. I removed the masking tape and edged the paper with a gold Wink of Stella pen. The last thing I did to the background was to stamp some sand at the bottom of the panel with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I mounted the background panel on to a Seaside Spray card base. I added an Eastern gold vinyl sticker that reminded me of a jelly fish if you looked from below the bell.
All the stamps I used on this card are from the Seaside Notions stamp set. The shells, sand dollar, coral and seahorse were stamped with Crumb Cake ink on to Whisper White card stock.
I used the Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Ivory blends markers to colour the stamped images. I added details with a Crumb Cake stampin’ write marker and white paint pen. The last embellishment I added to the card was drop-shaped epoxy shapes.
