Welcome to another Colour INKspriation blog hop. Colour INKspiration is a challenge group on Facebook that sets a colour challenge approximately every two weeks using Stampin’ Up! colours. Inspiration pictures are from Pinterest. For today’s blog hop you may have started here or you may have hopped over to my page from Rachel Palmieri’s page.
The colours for this challenge are: Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, Poppy Parade, Pineapple Punch, Mint Macaron and Lovely Lipstick. You may add Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’ and ‘Bronze’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute.
For this challenge I made a Christmas card which has almost been entirely coloured using alcohol blending markers.
The main panel of the card is made up of a piece of Whisper White card stock that I brayered the corners with Gorgeous Grape ink. Layered on top is another piece of Whisper White card stock which has been textured with the Tufted embossing folder. I added retired black rhinestones to the corners. I then mounted to panel to a thick Whisper White card base.
The ornament and holly stamps are from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set. I stamped multiples of the the ornaments and holly. I coloured them with blends and the retired blendabilities markers. I used some darker coloured markers to add some depth to the ornaments. After arranging the ornaments on the card. I added hanging strings with a Basic Black marker and then added to holly to the top of the card. The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty stamp set and has been heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I added more black rhinestones on to the ornaments.
