Welcome to Colour INKspriation #82. Colour INKspiration is a challenge group on Facebook that sets a colour challenge every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month using Stampin’ Up! colours. Inspiration pictures are from Pinterest. As a design team member, we make cards and projects to inspire people in the challenge.
The colours for this challenge are: Just Jade, Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Basic Black. You may add Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’ and ‘Bronze’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute.
This is great inspiration picture for this colour challenge, right? You would think it would be easy to come up with something, right? But I didn’t until I received my pre-order from the Stampin’ Up! August – December 2020 mini catalogue. So I decided to use some the items from the Poinsettia Place Suite.
I fussy cut-out elements from the Plush Poinsettia specialty paper. This paper is vellum with flocked designs. I used sponge daubers to sponge the poinsettia and leaves with Just Jade and Melon Mambo ink. The poinsettia was attached Whisper White card stock before attaching to the main panel. To incorporate Basic Black into the project, I used one of the designs from the World of Good DSP (designer series paper). This has been matted with Just Jade card stock and attached to a thick Whisper White card base. The sentiment is from a retired stamp set and has been stamped with VersaMark ink onto Melon Mambo card stock.
The centre of the poinsettia is also from the Poinsettia Place suite.
Used in this project:
Stamps: Many Merry Messages (retired)
Embellishment: Beaded Pearls (coming soon), Melon Mambo ribbon (retired)
All items listed above (except retired) are available through my online store. If you live in Australia, just click on the shopping cart in the left hand column of this page or click on the links where I have listed what I have used for this project.
