ESAD 2018 Holiday Catalogue blog hop

Welcome to an ESAD blog hop. You may have come to my blog from Peta’s blog. The theme of the blog hop today is to show case items that are in the new Stampin’ Up! 2018 holiday catalogue which launched on 5 September 2018.

Today I going to show two colour-ways of the same card featuring the Tags & Tidings stamp and Christmas Tags thinlit bundle.

I started by stamping the stamp in VersaMark ink twice on Basic Black and twice on Whisper White card stock. I then heat embossed the cards with copper and gold embossing powder.   Ribbons where wrapped around the Basic Black card stock before it was mounted on the foil card stock so the embossing matched the colour of the foil card stock.  Then they were attached to a Whisper White card base.

I then used the Christmas Tags thinlit to cut out the tags from the embossed images on the Whisper White card stock.  I selected some of the cut out tags to attache to my cards.  To add some variation to gold card, I cut out some holly leaves from gold foil using the Detailed Poinsettia thinlits.  I paper-pieced the holly leave with Real Red Card stock for the berries and gold foil for the leaves

Used in these project:

Paper:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Gold foil, Copper Foil, Real Red

Ink: VersaMark

Stamps: Tags & Tidings

Accessories: Merlot/Copper reversible ribbon, Gold metallic edged ribbon

Thank you for visiting my blog. Now it is time to hop over to Barbara’s blog to check out her lovely project. Should you get lost there is a list of participants below so you can rejoin the hop.

Happy stamping

Cathy

  1. Great minds Cathy 🙂
Lovely cards, I like the addition of holly to the second one.

  2. Now that’s a fab way to use that bundle. Looks so great with the embossing Cathy.

  3. Gorgeous cards Cathy. Love the use of the embossing powder for that special look to both cards. Fun, pretty and very festive! Thanks for sharing! Rochelle xo
