Welcome to an ESAD blog hop. You may have come to my blog from Sharon’s blog. The theme of the blog hop today is to show case items from the new Stampin’ Up! 2019 holiday catalogue, which goes on sale from 4 September.
For todays project I will be featuring items from the Brightly Gleaming Suite of products on page 30 to 32 of the catalogue.
My project is this treat holder that does double duty as a name card holder. Made from the gorgeous Brightly Gleaming specialty DSP (designer series paper).
The treat holder is super quick to make and uses about a third of a 12″ x 12″ sheet of DSP. The measurement are 10cm x 30.5 cm or 4″ x 12″ (imperial). To hold the treat box together I punched a hole at the top and used ribbon to tie a bow.
To embellish the box I took a star from the Brightly Gleaming foil elements and mounted it on Whisper White card stock. The holly stamp is from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set, which has been stamped on Whisper White card stock with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with copper embossing powder. I coloured the holly with Mossy Meadow and Pretty Peacock blends markers and added some puff paint to the berries.
The name card was punched out and edges have been coloured with a copper paint pen. The calligraphy was done with a Night of Navy stampin’ write marker.
Used in this project:
Paper: Brightly Gleaming specialty DSP, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark
Blends: Mossy Meadow, Pretty Peacock
Stampin’ Write Marker: Night of Navy
Stamps: Christmas Gleaming
Punches: Everyday Label
Accessories: Old Olive/Pretty Peacock reversible ribbon, copper embossing powder, Snowfall Accents puff paint, Brightly Gleaming foil elements, crop-o-dile

What a sweet project Cathy ! I’m sure your guests will love those !
These are great, quick treat holders. I love the DSP you have used too. Thanks for sharing, Cathy
How sweet. This dsp is just divine. It’s the perfect size for the plate.
Love those boxes Cathy – and in my favourite DSP from the new catalogue (although I haven’t used it yet). Great idea to combine the name card with the treat and I love the caligraphy!
This is an adorable treat holder/ name tag Cathy x

Wow Cathy! That is beautiful. I love that it just doesn’t look pretty but does a job too! x
Oh what lovely table decorations!!
These are perfect! What a gorgeous little treat for everyone at the table – so much nicer than just a plain old white placecard 😉 And I so admire your beautiful calligraphy as well. 🙂 Siobhan.
What a super pretty and great idea!
